The bowl I ordered from matchstick goods is just stunning. It combines the perfection of something that might be mass-produced with the uniqueness and beauty of something skillfully handmade. I could not be more delighted! I will definitely be buying more things from matchstick goods in the future.
Wonderful experience for the whole family
We were impressed by how well organized and prepared the workshop was.
It was great that the potentially time-consuming and difficult parts were already prepared for us but there was still plenty that we did to feel that we had built our very own mug. It was our very first time with ceramic so the step-by-step instructions and hands-on help were very helpful. Our 11-year-old was able to build her own with little help and our 9-year-old was able to do most of the building. We were grateful for the staff for checking each step and for also doing a final check to make sure everything looked ok.
Our favorite part was getting to paint the mugs in whatever way we wanted to! We loved that there were plenty of colors to choose from.
We were all very excited and proud to see how beautifully they turned out.
I have looked for pottery-making classes before, but most were week or day-long and expensive. I know places where we can paint pottery but they don’t give us the full experience.
A 2-hour workshop was perfect. It was not too long to get exhausted but we did not have to rush.

I purchased my tortilla warmer at a festival where Matchstick Goods had a booth. I have used it a few times since then, and it keeps my tortillas warm inside a towel, but I also love to use it to transport/display cookies. It’s beautiful and I want to show it off!
