This class is geared towards beginners. We will begin with a demo from our instructor, followed by guided instruction.
This class includes instruction on how to create a mug and any help you need along the way. Each participant will construct a cylinder, add a bottom, and finally mold and attach a handle. Once the mug has been made, you can work on glazing it, or just have us glaze it for you.
If you don't have enough time to glaze your work, you can opt to revisit us at another time to glaze your piece, or we can glaze it for you. We will fire your piece and let you know when it is finished. It can take up to three weeks for your piece to be fired.
The class will conclude with a brief tour of the Matchstick studio and an opportunity to browse our shop.
Clay and all tools and supplies will be provided for you.

Cancellation Policy
Tickets for our classes can be refunded three or more weeks before the event. Cancellations less than three weeks in advance will be non-refundable due to limited availability of seats, and the fact that each class is promoted and offered individually. Tickets can be transferred to a friend, or you can let us know you're looking for a replacement for your spot, and we will let you know if there is anyone on the waitlist.
