Come out for a Crafty Christmas afternoon with Matchstick Goods! Bring the family for an afternoon activity the whole group will enjoy. Make your ornaments for your own tree, or make them as one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones.
How it works:
- Each ticket comes with 2 ornaments of your choice (we'll have several different shapes to choose from), all the glazes and supplies you’ll need, AND a cookie!
- The event runs from 2:00 to 4:00. Drop in between 2:00 and 3:00 so you’ll have plenty of time to finish painting and decorating. When you arrive we’ll help you check in, find your supplies, and locate the cookie station!
- Use our paint-on glazes to create whatever you like ! If you’d like to paint more than two ornaments, additional ornaments will be available for $15 each.
- Paint at your own pace. When you’re done, let us know so that we can check over your ornaments and make sure they are ready for the kiln. Then, you’ll leave your creations with us. We will fire each one in our kilns, and then send you a notification as soon as they’re ready. It may take up to two weeks for your piece to be fired and ready for pickup.
These ornaments were designed and hand made by our student employees! Matchstick Goods offers fair-wage jobs to serve as a catalyst for personal growth and exploration. We provide a nurturing environment where youth can hone their skills in ceramics, collaborate with mentors, and cultivate their passions. By purchasing a ticket, you’ll also be supporting local youth in your community!
This event will take place inside of Embrace Church, located at 1015 N Limestone. There is parking available on the side of the church on N Broadway Park, and also some spots behind the church. You can enter through the side entrance on N Broadway Park- we’ll be there to let you in and show you to where the workshop is taking place.
Consider wearing dark colors or clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Dark color clothing is able to hide most glaze stains!
Certainly! This event is a great fit for ages 4 and up. We ask that there be a parent or guardian present who is ready to help as needed for kids age 7 and below.

Tickets can be refunded two or more weeks before the event. Cancellations less than two weeks in advance will be non-refundable due to limited availability of seats, and the fact that each event is promoted and offered individually. Tickets can be transferred to a friend, or you can let us know you're looking for a replacement for your spot, and we will let you know if there is anyone on the waitlist.
